anyconnect says VPN client driver encountered an error on linux laptop

I am not able to connect to my office VPN using the CLI or Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client (version 4.10.04071). I can go directly to the webpage and log in to the VPN however. Here is the output for the command line interface

I have verified the username and password.

Re-install anyconnect.

 

I had the same issue and re-install clear this error.

Unfortunately no. This error is not related to reinstalling. It is an issue with the VPN adapter not being installed and there is a missing step between installing anyconnect and configuring the adapter so it can be used by anyconnect.
