Cisco Anyconnect disconnects and won't open (Failed to start)

Cisco AnyConnect disconnects, and the icon disappears from the icon tray. When I try to open it, I get the message "Cisco AnyConnect failed to start. It is already running in another user's session."
* The are no other users logged into my laptop.
* I have uninstalled and installed the app a couple of times.]

if windows what version?

This happens multiple times per day and the ONLY way to fix it is to reboot my laptop. It's huge pain because I have multiple app open, and it never fails that this happens when I'm working with others, and it just slows down my work greatly.
