Cisco AnyConnect: Unable to update the session management database after abrupt shutdown

Hello,

 

I'm using AnyConnect v 4.5.04029 on Windows 10.

I cannot update the program or change any settings which require admin privileges.

 

After my computer shut down because of the empty battery, I was not able to connect to our company vpn anymore. The error message I receive is:
Unable to update the session management database.

 

From what I've read on the internet, I think the problem is that my previous session is still alive and I cannot open a new one. The session should have closed, but probably did not because of the abrupt shutdown of the system.

 

Not sure if this is fixed in the newest version or not - but I thought I'd report it.

The session ends automatically after 24 hours I think, so if the session limit was the problem, I'll be able to connect again tomorrow.
