I have 1 48port switch that is native vlan 1 connecting to several smaller switches with a native vlan of 900. The clients old native vlan for the whole system was 900 and now they want vlan 1. Is there any way for the vlan 1 switch to communicate with the 900 switch either to change the config or see the data? If it’s not possible to ssh across the vlan mismatch is the only fix to go to each small switch and console into it to change the config?
Also if I change the native vlan of the new switch from 1 to 900 could I ssh it then and change the vlan to 1? Is that even possible since I’d imagine I’ll probably lose connection the second I save it or am I wrong?
Appreciate any help or clarification.

Native vlan is per each switch-to-switch trunk link; Yes, you will loose comm on vlan mismatch (vlan 1 and 900) but not other vlans. you will not be able use vlan 1 or 900 for telnet/ssh communication with Native vlan mismatch. You could change smaller switch natvie vlan to vlan 1, then change that link on 48port back to vlan 1 to ssh to it.
