Please help me understand the CSLU

Will I be able to report licenses for an air gapped 9800 WLC using the CSLU ?

How does it work? 

I just need a basic overview

Do I install the CSLU on my laptop connect it to the 9800, pull some files, disconnect laptop from 9800 and connected to the internet then send these 'files' to CSSM?

And after that only do the same after something changes regarding licensing? (e.g., add or remove licenses)

Is this the idea?

or does the PC hosting the CSLU  need to stay on premises where my 9800 is running?

Talk to your Cisco AM/SE/PSS about CSLU because they are meant to know more than anyone else.
