I am fiddling with an older to be recycled Cisco Catalyst Switch. When it powers on, I see something like below during startup.
POST: EMAC Loopback Test: Passed
What does this do? I thought with the loopback being performed it would suffice for a hardware test but if I mangle the port to it being unusable, I can't get this test to fail.
