Tracking User Location and not allowing User to Update

Within the Cisco Jabber application used by company, is it possible for the User Details to automatically include location? Further, is it possible to lock out users' ability to manually update location?

Example 1) Employee is a permanent telecommuter - system would either show 'Telecommuter' always or might show 'Telecommuter' in all cases except when working out of a known company location and in that case would display something like '@ Phoenix AZ Office.'

Example 2) Employer works some days from one or more designated offices and from off site (possibly home, but not necessarily) on other days. The company knows the location of all of the offices and can designate an approximate location that would align to. If new offices are added, company could add these to system. If person worked in Phoenix office, but also lived in Phoenix, the system would know whether person was logged into office network or off site. In addition, in order to log into system securely away from office, employees must log via VPN in most if not all cases. Jabber would show one of several locations such as 'Offsite' (anything other than designated office address), '@Phoenix AZ office', '@Nashville TN office' or '@Unknown office' (if logged directly into office network, but at a site not specifically called out in location table).

In all cases, the employee is not able to update their location manually (i.e., a user cannot update their 'Offsite' to '@ Phoenix AZ office')

Note: The location would be updated any time they logged into a network. It is understood per primary application rules, the system would likely not display a location when user is 'Away.' However, if they are logged into network and Jabber is active, it should show their location. If user is logged into Jabber on a mobile system (tablet and/or phone) and via laptop or desktop computer, the laptop or desktop location overrules the other interfaces for what is reported on interface.

IF this is possible within standard application protocol with adjustments, please advise how these settings can be adjusted and locked by IT dept (i.e., if need Jabber support to enable, please advise path).

IF this not currently possible, is this type of enhancement in Cisco enhancement pipeline presently and if so what is tentative ETA delivery of enhancement to corporate users? If not in enhancement pipeline, can this type of enhancement be pursued? If so, what is that process?
