is it necessary to have a DHCP server while configuring WLC

I am trying to configure WLC on packet tracer, is it necessary to have a DHCP server to give IP to LAP as i am not able to manually set the IP of LAP, it is showing following error.How to resolve the same as i want to configure the WLC without the help of DHCP server.

maybe GigabitEthernet on LAP-PT can not be configured,  you can try 3702i LWAP

You dont need althouth is a good practce because you can inform the WLC IP address to AP through DHCP. 

But you can also configure static IP. Take a look in settings
