Windows & other endpoints not able to use Remote for on-prem

For some target types, for example, Microsoft Windows Endpoint, we cannot select a remote to communicate with on-premises Windows servers. However, items such as a terminal allow me to select a remote.

We are missing this:

Other targets are also missing remote:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • Ansible Tower
  • SMTP (or we need to be able to use authenticated SMTP with username and password)
  • SNMP
  • JDBC Database

@Jeff Orr Thank you for the feedback.  Yes, the product team is aware of this and getting Remote support added for these Target Types is in the backlog.  If you had to prioritize these, which are the most critical for your use case?
While you are welcome to post your comments here, the best method for enhancement requests and other feedback on the platform is to use the 'Give your feedback' button at the bottom of the page in the dashboard.  Those messages go straight to the product team.

Windows is the highest priority, then SMTP, SNMP, and the rest.

@Jeff Orr Thanks, I've passed this along to the product management team.
