Community Idea

*Disclaimer*

This is just an idea and if not allowed please let me know.

What does the community think about putting together a 30-90 call (pick a platform doesn't matter I'm sure Meraki would say Webex). The name of the call could be "The White Board" (just getting a name out there). The goal is to have 1-3 real world design or break fix issues we face or have seen on the forums and try to come up with a solution for those topics. I think the frequency of the call should be 3 to 4 times a year so it doesn't get to over whelming and people could look forward to the event and not look at it as "ooo that thing again".

Again just tossing this idea out there and if something sparks we can start to formalize something.

Interesting idea. Maybe even something that could merged into an existing series like the unboxed podcast.

Great idea @tyshawn76. Thinking off the cuff here but prior to each event the community could put forward some design or t/shooting issues that we vote on to see which one gets whiteboarded.

If Meraki could spare one of their SMEs for each session that would be usef

I'm good with any good ideas. @DarrenOC I like that thought as well I didn't want to bother the Meraki team, but if they are willing... Fantastic.. @Ryan_Miles I'm good with that idea too, The one thing that keeps it feeling "local" to the community could be to include the community (friendly trusted members) this way it can be a group effort. I would like to hear more thoughts from the other members and if it's ok maybe we can link up offline to brainstorm.

Thank you all please keep the ideas coming.

@tyshawn76 Sounds like a great idea but timezones could play an issue as the community has members from all over the world as well as moderating the sessions could be tricky if you have 100 people attending and all trying to talk at the same time.

The UX team have been quite prominent on in the community for the last couple of years, not so much for the product teams but I am guessing they are busy with current and future products and what they can say about future products is very limited.

Hi @tyshawn76, just wanted to say I love this idea and am happy to help support however you need! Would love to see more community led events like this. I agree with Blake that timezones can be a challenge, but there are ways to work around that.

I think enough time has passed to gain feedback @AmyReyes @Ryan_Miles can we take this to DM and talk more?

Just a small update. We have some movement in the background and once we are able to tie-up a few things we should be all set.

Thanks to everyone that is working to bring this to life.
