I'm curious - has anyone actually been able to attend the ECMS2 training? I have never heard a single reply to my multitude of requests for a seat since the training was announced.

While the course is free I have a much better chance of justifying the trip to my company. Once Cisco puts the typical $2,000+ price tag on the course my opportunity to attend disappears like a fart in the wind.

I have even had our sales rep who sold us our shiny new Meraki infrastructure get in-touch with his contacts at Meraki, and still nothing but crickets.

Does the training actually exist, or is it a unicorn at this point, only available to a privileged lucky few?

You will see there are actually a number of threads within the community with regards to this course and everyone is seeing and having the same frustration.

I am also trying to get on this course and very keen to attend before November as the courses are currently on-line with virtual labs and training, which for me is very attractive as I would not have to travel.

I'm happy to say that we have been expanding the ECMS2 availability since the start of this pandemic. Some things that I wanted to share with all of you:

• We've transitioned from a in-person training to a fully virtual format since March 2020, as our offices were closed due to the pandemic
• With this virtual format, instead of offering 15 seats per class we've adjusted the class size to support up to 30 participants, adjusting our lab infrastructure accordingly
• Bad news is that we saw an increase on the demand for this and other training sessions we offer since the pandemic started, so it's still hard to get a spot in one of these sessions
• We consider many factors when approving someone to be able to participate on ECMS2, so the best way to get a spot is to reach out to your sales rep and get them to recommend you to participate. It'll still depend on the amount of Meraki solutions you have (size of your Meraki infrastructure) so keep that in mind as bigger partners/clients will probably get a spot quicker (but we still make it in a way that medium sized clients can participate with fewer spots available)
• Those are currently all Meraki-led sessions with no cost (I deliver some of them actually as well) and we're well aware of the high demand. That's why we are currently working with Learning Partners to be able offer ECMS2 through them with a cost as an alternative, so keep an eye at our Meraki Learning Hub for news regarding to that option to be available soon https://community.meraki.com/t5/Learning-Hub/ct-p/hub

I'm very impressed with the enthusiasm and drive, the guys doing the ECMS2 last week pulled off !!

I can only recommend All of You other enthusiasts to grab hold of Your Cisco AM to enroll in a virtual session !!

Hi @Thyge_dk , I'm really glad you liked your ECMS2 session 😀 My colleagues Rafael and David are great instructors!

1) Yes there's an official certification now called CMSS (you can check more info clicking the link on my signature) that you can have after taking a ECMS exam with Pearson Vue, ECMS1 and 2 are preparation for that so after participating on both you should have everything you need to study for this exam 👍

2) As you just attended the ECMS2 session last week, I think you'll receive something through e-mail on the next couple of days

I was finally able to get a seat in ECMS1, and the seat in ECMS2 will follow shortly thereafter. I'm looking forward to it very much!! Don't give up trying if you're still waiting for a seat. It's taken me about a year, but finally, I have a Golden Ticket. 🤣

Also, I found this on the Cisco Learning Network. Apparently the ECMS1 and ECMS2 courses are available for a fee. If I'm late to the game here and everyone already knows about this, I apologize. It's new to me, so I figured I would share just-in-case:

After much waiting, I finally managed to get a seat in ECMS 2 for a May training session. Can't wait. Many, many thanks to our Meraki sales rep for getting me an invite to register. I received confirmation of my seat today.
