Hi community!
Can a customer migrate from per-device to subscription licensing?
I'm guessing the response will be affirmative, can you please elaborate in what would be the best path for this migration?
-Should I first match all the expiration dates on the actual per-device and then migrate?
-Is this a conversation that the meraki rep need to be aware of?

You can migrate. https://documentation.meraki.com/General_Administration/Licensing/Subscription_-_Licensing_Overview see the red note under Claiming.
The most important note I have is, you need to work with your partner and meraki rep on this.
I know with Co-Term you have to do it at the end of the subscription. Based on the notes on the link above I believe the same applies to PDL but there may be some back end magic they can do to assist with this as all the various end dates with a PDL could make this a drawn out process.
Perhaps someone who has done a PDL to Sub conversion will chime in further. The partner documentation I've seen has focused nearly if not exclusively on Co-Terms

I agree on the partner documentation and or the presentations I've been on, with the focus on co-term. I haven't really seen any official guidance from Cisco on how to move customers from PDL to subscription.

As mentioned you will need to involve your account manager. I would do some research first to see if there is any benefit cost wise of moving from PDL to subscription licensing, if theres not is there any point in going through all the effort.

PDL is being terminated as a program ...

Hi @Philip D'Ath Can you please help me with the details. What was the last date for PDL

I believe it was terminated in January 2025. You can't buy it anymore. I assume those with it can only use it until it expires.
