Umbrella VA for VMWare 8

Does anyone know if there is a version of the Umbrella Virtual Appliance, (VA) that supports VMware 8.0.3 and where to get it?

Hi! Good question. Im sure you've seen this and hence the question, but the docs here: https://docs.umbrella.com/umbrella-user-guide/docs/deploy-vas-in-vmware 

State: 'Note: ESXi 8.0 U3 or newer build is not supported.'

So any and all VA OVAs (that I am aware of!) for vmware are downloaded from the Umbrella dashboard (Deployments > Configuration > Sites and Active Directory)

However, given that this same warning doesn't appear in the Secure Access docs here: https://docs.sse.cisco.com/sse-user-guide/docs/deploy-vas-in-vmware I am wondering if this is out of date in the Umbrella docs.umbrella-support@cisco.com to confirm I guess?

Support for VMware 8.0 U3 for VA is available in the beta (version 3.7.9).

You can ask your account manager or TSE reach out to us for provisioning the Beta for your org and we can do the needful. GA for the same is planned for June.

Support for VMware 8.0 U3 for VA is available under LA version 3.8.1. Please connect with TSE team or Account Manager for provisioning v3.8.1

In addition, GA of the latest VA version 3.8.3 (with the VMware 8.0 U3 support for VA) is expected to be rolled out on November 17, 2025.
