I was thinking today that something that could be useful on the forums is an automatic redactor. It would be able to automatically replace IP addresses with others in configuration files we post in a friendly interface. We could specify an IP to use straight through the config, or specify subnets and replacement schemes. Could even support randomization within a subnet for all addresses in a particular subnet. It'd make it easier to post configs without worrying about missing a redaction.
My next idea is for a built in network diagram builder. It would have to be much simpler than visio but it would make it easy to upload, save, share, and edit topologies through the community. That way, I don't have to draw a diagram on my computer in Visio (or paint) and upload it when I need to share. I'd just create it right in my post.
Wondering if any of these are actually viable though. I think so!
