You can change settings for who can see your real name by going to account>>>profile>>>actions--edit profile and privacy>>>privacy settings tab. Everyone can always see your username. The default is no user will see your real name except "yourself" when you are logged in. Setting should be real name "yourself". If you log out and look up your user ID you should only see your username. You have multiple configuration settings under the privacy tab for what information you want displayed and who can see it.
