Hello to all participants attending Developer Days 2024 in the US!
If you're eager to dive into Crosswork Workflow Manager (CWM), we invite you to join our hands-on lab session. This year, we're hosting the lab online via Cisco Webex and dCloud!
CWM Getting Started Lab (2 hours)
- Instructor: Ming Cao (@mingca), Software Engineer, Cisco
- Date: Thursday, December 5th, 2024
- Time: 9:00 - 11:00 AM EST
- Capacity: 20 participants
Abstract
Gain practical experience with all aspects of CWM through our guided lab. You'll have the opportunity to:
- Create workflow definitions
- Use the SDK to develop adapters
- Utilize XDK to auto-generate adapters for NSO and Open API
- Administer CWM, manage resources & secrets, and deploy adapters
- Execute workflows, and inspect progress & results
How to Attend:

Create a dCloud Account: Visit dCloud and create an account if you haven't already. Select US East (RTP) as your default data center. Ensure your account is set up at least one day before the lab.

Register Your Details: Reply to this post with:
- Your name
- The email address used for your dCloud account
- Your company name

Join the Lab:
- At the lab start time, join the Webex chat. Login details will be sent via email.
- Log in to dCloud, ensuring US East (RTP) is selected for data center.
- Navigate to My Hub > Sessions and select the lab titled “tb3 - [Lab] Crosswork Workflow Manager v1.2 GA - Demo Lab Sandbox v1 – b20241016 - native cwm”. Click "View".
- In the new tab, view the lab topology and click the "workstation" icon labeled "RDP".
- Choose "Web RDP" from the left panel to access the Windows desktop for lab tasks.
- Start the lab by following the guide in VS Code on the desktop.

Get Support: If you have questions during the lab, reach out in the Webex chat space or the online meeting.

We have received an overwhelming response and reached full capacity for the CWM lab. If you are interested in CWM and didn't get a chance to participate this time, please keep an eye on this forum. We may offer another opportunity in the near future.

You will very soon be able to register for this lab on the landing page. Stay tuned! When it shows up, you only need to update your Developer Days registration and select it!
