How does CX Cloud determine asset location?

We are currently using Cisco CX Cloud and the CX Cloud Agent and would like to understand how asset location is determined.

We noticed that many assets appear with the same city/location in CX Cloud and in exports, even though they are installed in different branches.

Could you please clarify:

• What data source CX Cloud uses to determine asset location?

• What is the recommended best practice to accurately represent site or branch locations?

The asset location depends on what the contract reflects in Cisco Commerce Software Subscriptions and Services (CCW-R). To change it, the customer, partner or account team can open a case on Customer Service Hub (CSH https://customerservice.cloudapps.cisco.com/ ). Please note this is the location where RMAs would be delivered.
