Single Sign On without using java

I'm looking to implement Single Sign On for use with the webservices, but it seems this is only possible in Java?

I started out from the Cisco_Finesse_Web_Services_Developer_Guide_Release_11.6 PDF document, and from there went to the section (p. 166) about SSO.

I hope it is possible to do SSO without needing to use a java library of some sort...
