UPOE Solution

Hi ,

I want to implement UPOE in my system.

My system supports 10Base T and 100Base Tx modes.

I referred different documents from TI and Cisco to implement UPOE using  TPS2379.

But i have following query.

Configuration 1:

Unused pairs are connected directly to Rectifier bridge to extract power as per following.

Without using transformer.

Configuration 2:

Unused pairs are connected in same configurations as per used pairs.

Power is extracted using transformer from all 4 pairs.

Which topology should i use for my system?

Also how should i terminate unused pair at the other end of transformer (PHY Side)?
