Hello.
I'm wondering if it is possible to run Cisco CML on a computer with an Intel processor that doesn't support vPro.
Cisco CML webpage says it is a requirement to have "VTx, EPT, and vPro", but I cannot afford to purchase a laptop that supports vPro. Has anyone got CML running without vPro or is it a must?

Thanks

@cisco-ninja i would ask the CML team here https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/topic/0TO3i00000094ZjGAI/cisco-modeling-labs-personal-community
Hope this helps.

First of all, laptop is not great for CML and weak for other virtual labbing. You will not be able to run many CML devices on laptop depending on images as they asking for lots of RAM and disk space; see Requirement specs at https://developer.cisco.com/docs/modeling-labs/#!faq/installation-questions
Yes, I think you need device supporting virtualization CPU and it should be enabled in BIOS of PC. this is why you will need requirement of "VTx, EPT, and vPro", This enables to run vm ware or vm player and run other virtual machines inside. without virtualization you cannot do much; maybe stand alone GNS3 will run but not CML or Eve-ng.
I recommend server box for CML or just use Dev Net sandbox online lab (multiple and free 4hr reservations).
Regards, ML
