Hello,
We are trying to find a way to release interim user session updates on demand (interim-update).
The sessions are PPPoE.
The Interim-Update with interval configuration is ok and every 24h the router sends the updates without problem. We have left it configured with "newinfo" so that it also launches updates when new information events are fulfilled.
aaa accounting update newinfo periodic 1440
These are the events that a PPPoE session has by default:
Events recorded :
CALL START
ATTR REPLACE
NET UP
IPCP_PASS
INTERIM START
VPDN NET UP
FLOW UP
We have seen that through CoA requests, modifying some attribute, we can trigger the ATTR REPLACE event. And this launches an Interim-Update correctly.
Now we would like to know if there is any specific attribute to launch an Interim-Update from a CoA request. In NOKIA equipment, for example, there is the "Alc-Triggered-Acct-Interim" attribute that does exactly this. At the moment, we have not been able to find something similar in Cisco.
The idea is not to have to modify any attribute unnecessarily without having anything to do with the intention, which is only to force a temporary update.
Or how else do you think we can release these updates on demand.
Thank you so much.
Regards.
