Documentación de Licenciamiento Catalyst 3650/3750/3850 con DNA Center

Hola,

No consigo encontrar en Cisco documentación del proceso de licenciamiento de los Catalyst 3650/3750/3850 a través del DNA Center.

¿Sabéis si existe y donde puedo localizarlo?

The switch licensing is not done through the DNAC.

 The lisensing must be done before you add the switch to DNAC or during the process.

 You can use three method for switch licesnig:

Switch access cisco smart account directly, requires internet access from the switch

Switch using an intenal server and the server accessing cisco cloud.

Manual loading the file to switch.

Una pregunta más, en el segundo caso usando un servidor interno ¿El registro de licencias para estos dispositivos se puede hacer desde el DNA Center?

He visto en el DNA Center la opción en el License Manager > Devices > Actions > Manage Smart License > Register (Register Smart License) ¿se puede usar esta opción para que queden registradas las licencias en uso en el DNA Center y en el Smart Account?

   First let me apologize when I say the licensing   is not done through the DNAC, this is wrong.  Actually, looking this document right here

 It is possible to use the DNAC to license the devices. 

"If you already have a Cisco Smart Account, you can use Cisco DNA Center to:

• Track your license consumption and expiration

• Apply and activate new licenses, without intervention

• Promote each device's license level from Essentials to Advantage (or vice versa) and reboot the device with the newly changed level of feature licensing

• Identify and reapply unused licenses

You can accomplish this automatically, without leaving Cisco DNA Center."

What you need to do is integrate your DNAC with your Smart Account, if your DNAC have internet access. 

And, you can use internal server when the DNAC have no access to the internet.

Hola Flavio,

Si lo entiendo bien, entonces es posible poder llevar el registro y control del uso de licencias de los switches Catalyst 3650/3750/3850 desde el DNA Center ¿verdad?

Por ejemplo, si tengo configurado y licenciado en un switch 3850 con licencia ipbasek9 (C3850_XS_12_Ipbase), puedo a través del DNA Center (en la opción de License Manager > Devices > Actions > Manage Smart License > Register (Register Smart License)) registrar su uso y al tener conexión con el Smart Account quedará también registrada y controlada dicha licencia en uso en la Virtual Account de Smart Account que le haya asignado.
