Problems with my DHCP addressing

BPHY11

Hi guys!

It turns out that on Friday I configured the DHCP pool service on a Core switch, it should be noted that the DNS's are private.
Previously, in this corporate, who was giving addressing was a provider of my client, but since they broke deal with them, they decided that precisely the Core was the one who gave the DHCP service, in the same way, that day some AP's were migrated to a controller and a checkpoint was implemented (it is important to mention that my company does not provide the checkpoint service). Yesterday, they told me that the IP addressing is not being given by the Core, but by a physical server.
To change this, I tried the following:
1.- Change the public DNS's to private
2.- Change the IP address of the switch core that it had in the default-router, for that of the checkpoint
But neither of the two options worked, what else could I do?

I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this issue.

Hello

I did not understand well what is the problem that you present and what is it that you need to achieve.

Regards

Hey!

Sorry, I went around a lot.
My problem is that my Core switch is not providing IP addressing by DHCP, but a physical server is giving it, and that's exactly not what I want.
As I mentioned before, I already tried to change the DNS's and the address of the default-router, but still no results.

Hi,

The first thing you should do is locate the server that is providing the DHCP and try to disable it if possible.

The second and very important thing is to activate DHCP snooping to prevent it from happening again in the future.
