SIP TRUNK incoming and outgoing calls with CME fails

Hello everyone,

I want you to help me with a configuration. I have a cisco ISR 4321 router that acts as both CME and CUBE for the SIP TRUNK gateway to the provider’s network.

Configurations have been made in such a way that the authorized extensions can receive and call normally. But to date, calls in both directions sometimes works and refuses after. On 5 attempts, sometimes a success or two maximum.

Incoming calls also come correctly on the translated extensions. Ex: the yyxx makes the call to the outside with the 2253yyxx. But all incoming calls no matter the number in the stack automatically falls on the standard.

I wish to settle:

- the fact that calls run once out of five, randomly and also noting that when I ping repeat at 5000 for example on the SBC from my router, I get this "Success rate is 83 percent (4164/5000), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/5/85 ms"

- the fact of receiving correctly, when from outside we call 2253yyxx that it actually falls on yyxx internally and not on yy00 which is configured to receive calls from the pilot number 2253yyxx.

That your pings are only 83% successful is a concern and, in my opinion, that needs to be addressed first as it may solve the 'calls randomly work/don't work' problem.

Once that is resolved, to address the call problem, I'd suggest running:

  • debug ccsip messages
  • debug voip application lpcor
  • debug voip dialpeer
  • debug voice translation

That will show you exactly what's going on with the call processing on your router. It will take time to parse, and I/we are happy to help with that.
