Async OS 13.x.x Compatability with Cisco ESAv C100V

I have received the notification to upgrade our ESAV C100V from ASync OS 12.5.0-66 to ASync OS 13.x.x and up. However, when I check to see if the C100V is compatible I do not see any reference for the C100V. I don't want to start any upgrade and then run into compatibility issues or errors midway through the process. Can you provide any insight as to if the latest version is compatible or not with my ESAv.

Thanks

Hello,

As Ken mentioned, 13.x is supported by all virtual models and your C100V should be fine as long as it's running 12.5.x without issue.

Something to note though, unless you have a very low volume of mail, you may wish to upgrade to the higher end C300V/C600V virtual models in the future. This allows for additional resources to help support added enhancements and features as they become available in newer AsyncOS releases.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info Dennis. We have been running the C100V for about a year now (email encryption only) and there haven't been any issues except for the system overview not working consistently. We do not send many encrypted emails so an upgrade is probably not necessary. However we are curious as to when the C100V will reach it's end of life and no longer be supported by Cisco. That would certainly play a part in our decision to upgrade to another system. But it would have to be compatible with VMWare ESXi 6.5.

Thanks

C100V vs C300V is just a matter of scale. 300 has more ram/cpu/disk... I keep hoping that they'd just let us change the VM settings and the software could adjust.

Compatibility with the various versions of VMWare is more a matter of the software, than the VM size.

I suspect the 100V still has a long life for smaller shops.
