Is there a API for CRES that can be used by applications to generate secure e-mails?

So... since your ESA will talk to CRES to encrypt an sign an email, you just have to do something to the SMTP mail so that the ESA knows that...
You could put an x-header in, and add a content filter to the outgoing policy that looks for the x-header and encrypts if it finds it...

This is not an application that is within our environment. Currently an external (to our organization) is creating the e-mail manually via CRES websafe URL. They would like to automate the process.

Any thought on this? As mentioned in a separate posting, appearantly Outlook plugin 7.3 is enabling external users to compose secure messages from a desktop (instead of logging into CRES portal). Therefore there should b esome API's available.
Is there any plan to publish that API for customers?
