Hi All,

What is maximum concurrent connection supported by IronPort C370 for total inbound and outbound.

I want to change the default concurrent connection on listener (300), but I don't have any info even from Cisco itself.

When I search on Internet, some says more than 10,000 but I doubt it.

Regards

Hello Agus

We would suggest for the C370 device to leave it on 300 as the maximum limits.

Adjusting the limits to a higher threshold can strain the device if your system is under constant high loads of emails.

Matthew

Hi Matthew,

I read ESA 7-6 Configuration Guide and it says that  predefined Maximum concurrent connection for $TRUSTED policy is 600 (page 5-27) and suggested value for that parameter is 1,000 (page 7-9), while predefined set on listener global setting is 300.

My question is why CISCO suggest value that higher that predefined value set on listener ?

Hello Agus

While I cannot comment on the documentation put forward by our Product team with the defaults defined in those articles.

I will attempt to reach out to some respective parties to see why this was documented in this way. However i would not recommend over 300 for the connection limitations at the global level.

Regards,

Matthew

Hi Mathew,

I totally agree with You to not change default/predefined global setting.

Appreciate to reach out Your colleagues for clarification.
