Migrate configuration from C360 to virtual appliance

Is it possible to migrate configuration from a C360 to a C100V virtual appliance?
When we exported/imported the configuration we got errors when importing into the C100V (running 9.6).

Is there anyway to get the configuration to work without having to manually configure the C100V from scratch?

I get this message when trying to import the configuration:

Configuration file was not loaded. ERROR: Element 'account_policies' ended before required elements found (enable_password_grace) at Unknown:317:22 Text: on_warning_period> </account_policies> <password_policies> <password_mi

If they are the same version you should be able to migrate it.

If they aren't (I don't think 9.6 will install on a C360), you're best served by exporting/ftping from one to the other/importing the various tables (HAT/RAT/SMTP routes/etc) and building the rest up...

Hello Michael,

Just building on Ken's response.

C360 are restricted to version 8.5.7 as it's latest release, due to limitations on the X60 platform it will not be able to get to the 9.6.0 that your C100V has.

With regards to configuration migration, you would either need to XML edit the configuration to bring tags over if you're comfortable with it (Cisco does not support this method however).

Else you can manually configure the C100V while referencing the C360.

Noted, the 8.5 releases may see some different information in the tags as opposed to 9.6.0 (thus why it would generate errors on load).

I hope this clears it up a bit more.

Regards,

Matthew
