Dear Community,
We implemented ESA and we have found a problem in a certain situation. When a certain sender send for as a .rar file we got a plain text in the email, like this (just a little part from the full character chain):
begin 777 202006250915.zip M4$L#!!0`"0`(`,9)V5"(YW"Q]IHJ`#U2*P`;`!P`9&]C,#8Q,C,W,C`R,#`V M,C4Q,#$R,C(N<&1F550)``/#3O1>N$[T7G5X"P`!!.P#```$[`,``.00S=%= M]/1^T_$>!^?HCQ\"O,\L%6ZB7[:L(S11PZM!,YN2OG2ZS+K.7F?EPG>TVG#$ MS,ISMK-72Z749)WSIX<J25,DDPIMX/XXO&Q4=SOZZX^`EYRB$^$=DTZ@`I90 M?0^7G4%WT7VY`GF[ZN?,CVR*1<5/P&XD/0:H'G1\]OH+==UU2G_P-#WHDJ_8 M$%U')LRWXNF1L3H4S@LTP@L2:P5\!OX;&B?^`)2/1)<Y*]&'7#W9?HK2H%%J MMJ\G$=R:\$9[V0V<S+$Z0KT+^"%X,Y=7<>0\OHX,"?K`M2Q;$Q&<G/PE+)QJ MCFW*R;$?)79#-=R;!(\_DIT`9Z6^4V7M-GZW.["1$C>!K!B1]:ZIYAW-S"HC M>\Q)1Z*,M+R8?D#^RJ<W!>*%FU8`L2ZL^Y`L0-,ZXZ7KS4/DN8U@!MR;=YM. MFY[905$0(4[(#Q.Y2*I\?TM6^)>7^@'\.>U2XVWJ7<VS*10/;'64JP1Z-'P] M(>LEKNRG1U_L<'4:NZ'A>MH*4KP[<'A,]$3H49)DQ/06U\;6'8AM?FBSCE9O MQ'OV451:&'Z6/)Y2L">D4K-EMQ!4'7$#Y\3S.)%Z9WWI]0=.'27BM1,F</):
In the mail_logs we have found an =0A ending after the file extension, like this:
grep ".zip=" mail_logs Wed Jun 24 08:55:16 2020 Info: MID 5759 attachment '202006240855.zip=0A'
The =0A ending is only visible for mails from this one sender so we think this is a a sender side problem but we have never seen like this before.
Do you have any idea why the attachment will not be delivered correctly and why this incident is happening?
Thanks & Regards,
Bence

I haven't come across this as being reported so far. Would likely be as a result of the application generating the file as you mentioned.
Would be helpful to know what third-party software was used to create/modify the file before it reached the ESA and if the same attachment delivers fine to other MTA's.

Libin
