I am testing ESAv (COOV demo image) and the directions say to use qcow2 format when installing for KVM. All the images appear to be VMDK only. So I used qemu-img to convert it to qcow format, but when it boots it gets so far and then complains it can't mount root.
I have it set to VirtIO and qcow format.
The exact error I get:
ManagementInterface="fxp0"
IronPortSerial="unknown"
Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/da0s1a
ROOT MOUNT ERROR:
If you have invalid mount options, reboot, and first try the following from the loader prompt:
set vfs.root.mountfrom.options=rw
