Very Slow Queue Processing

Hi all,

we've got two vESAs with two mx records, both 10 and 10.

if we send all traffic through all two of them everything works fine, or at least acceptable.

If we send all traffic only to one appliance we've got the following queue working rate:

Time      Pending    In   Out

17:37:49     1154     4     0

17:37:50     1159     5     0

17:37:51     1160     1     0

17:37:52     1161     1     0

17:37:53     1164     5     2

17:37:54     1161     3     6

17:37:55     1155     2     8

17:37:56     1149     1     7

17:37:57     1146     2     5

17:37:59     1139     0     7

17:38:00     1134     1     6

17:38:01     1127     3    10

17:38:03     1123     2     6

with very low cpu and only sometimes a little peak of Antispam.

How is it possible the "exit" queue could be so slooow?

Is there any way to increase mail processing? Or to increase outbound delivery?

Thanks

The processing speed is dependant on multiple factors such as device configuration, features enabled, complex body scanning, size and complexity of email, DNS response slowness etc.

I would recommend opening a TAC case while the issue is ongoing to troubleshoot further, corrective actions can be taken once we know what is causing the slowness in the first place.
