Anyone experiencing blue screens with Cisco Secure Endpoint 8.4.4?

Hi everyone,

We recently encountered a blue screen (BSOD) on one of our Windows Server 2016 systems running Cisco Secure Endpoint connector version 8.4.4.30419. At this point, we're not 100% sure if Cisco is the root cause, but the timing aligns with the recent update.

Just wanted to check —
Has anyone else experienced similar crashes or system instability with this version?

If so:

  • Which OS and build are you running?

  • Did disabling any engines (SPERO, ETHOS, MAP, etc.) help?

Any feedback or recommendations would be much appreciated!

Check the alarm bell/notification icon in the upper right of your console. There should be a bulletin about a new build. They released a fix, 8.4.4.30467 and deprecated the old one.
