Need some help for my - Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls appliance

Currently running

Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Software Version 9.9(2)
Firepower Extensible Operating System Version 2.3(1.84)
Device Manager Version 7.9(2)152

I have been looking at version 9.12 - but alot of reviews are advising me to not upgrade to this version - Whats everyone elses thoughts on this?

Also how would i upgrade Firepower Extensible Operating System Version 2.3(1.84)?

I'm running 9.12 on a couple of ASAs and it works fine. I have less problems than with version 9.10. And v9.12 is a suggested release. I would give it a try.

Hi

Thank you for the reply, Ive had a look on the support page and theres no Star next to 9.12.2  to suggest its the recommended version.

can you confirm if you have had any issues with anyconnect with this version?
also do you have any issues with rules or NAT?
can you also confirm if this will also update firepower on the device.

Where do you look? Here it is a suggested release:

No issue with NAT, rules or AnyConnect. Your firepower module always has to be updated separately, but the FXOS is not a separate download.

ok im new to this

so how would i update the fxos once say for example 9.12 was on the asa

Nothing to do here. The FXOS is bundled with the ASA image and gets updated if needed.

Great

so just installing 9.12.2 would also update fxos if required. :)

thank you for your help.

just trying to get a case together to upgrade, Just getting a little push back based on reviews
