Default self-signed certificate

Hi,

What is the reason by which I need to use a default self-signed certificate when I have a distributed deployment?
I read that in version 1 and 1.2 of ISE was necessary to replace, Do you know if it is necessary in the last version (2.6)?

    You should be using wildcard certificates. To have a better understanding, read here
