Launcher Error: Setuid error: Resource temporarily unavailable

Hi All,

I'm running a job in tidal for couple of weeks now but suddenly I encountered an error "Launcher Error: Setuid error: Resource temporarily unavailable"

What does this mean?  I'm using RHEL server release 6.3 Beta.

Thanks,

Melody

Hi All,

We are constantly getting is message from the tidal logs for our scheduled DB jobs.

Launcher Error: setuid error : Resource temporarily unavailable

Can someone please let us know if they faced this issue error and any resolution ?

Thanks,

Anish

You need to check your ulimits (ulimit -a) for the user launching the job and also the tidal agent user (tidal). The 'nofile' and 'nproc' for user cannot be higher than the tidal agent user (tidal). To fix it, you can alter the ulimit file (/etc/security/limits.conf) for 'tidal' (if that is the user your agent is running as) so that it is equal to or greater than the job user.
