Hey Guys
I keep hitting the maximum amount of characters limit of 512 for service item fields on the forms in IAC
Has anyone hit this issue and found a workaround?
It is making our forms quite limiting with what we are trying to do.
Thanks in advance
Matt

Matt, sounds right. The largest supported service item attribute type is String (512). I am curious to know your use case, though. Not all form fields need to be service item backed.

Hey Matt,
Which field(s) in particular are you looking to enter string lengths greater than 512 characters?

Hi Lee
Thanks for your response,
I have tried this with Text Area, Multiple Selection and Text fields on the form.
I even receive the error attempting to write into the SI directly through IAC.

Hi Lee
This is mainly on forms that I use for microsoft exchange provisioning.
I have distribution groups that might have 30 users in them, and i am using a multiple selection field to facilitate the selection of all users, they select on username and the approx 30 usernames goes past the 512 limit.
I know you can change the nvchar limit to max in the database however i am unsure as to what effect this would have on the service item.
I have tried this many ways and is the only viable way to select users.
Also i use the text area to enter multiple line separated email addresses and am having the same issue.
