Dear Community,
What about Docker DNS Resolution in app-hosting implementation?
I mean Docker provides automatic DNS aliasing for container-to-container communication.
Is it supported by Cisco app-hosting? If yes is it supported for Catalyst 8200 & 8300 & 9300?
Thanks,
Eyal

No unfortunately not. The IOx platform doesn't implement docker - including docker networking. It actually uses LXC under the hood: "The IOx application created using a Docker image is run using LXC and AUFS on a compatible IOx platform" https://developer.cisco.com/docs/iox/#!docker-tooling-for-iox-application-development/docker-tooling-for-iox-application-development
You can read more about IOx application networking here: https://developer.cisco.com/docs/iox/#!application-networking

Thanks for the fast replay,
May I ask you another question if you know :
Catalyst 8000 Platform (8200/8300/8500 and 8000V) have interface VPG0 that represents to app-hosting appid networking bridge. Those platforms have not flooded broadcast/multicast traffic by default. I've tried many variations to enable it.
Our mission is to send multicast traffic via Appid to the outside via C8000 Plaform.
Any Idea?
Thanks,
Eyal
