Hi,
I have on my ASA threat-detection configured. I see the below in my logs:
[ Scanning] drop rate-1 exceeded. Current burst rate is 10 per second, max configured rate is 12; Current average rate is 7 per second, max configured rate is 10; Cumulative total count is 4557
[ Scanning] drop rate-2 exceeded. Current burst rate is 8 per second, max configured rate is 10; Current average rate is 7 per second, max configured rate is 10; Cumulative total count is 27755
[ Scanning] drop rate-1 exceeded. Current burst rate is 10 per second,max configured rate is 12; Current average rate is 7 per second, max configured rate is 10; Cumulative total count is 4702
[ Scanning] drop rate-2 exceeded. Current burst rate is 8 per second,max configured rate is 10; Current average rate is 7 per second, max configured rate is 10; Cumulative total count is 27835
Previously, the configured rates were lower then the rates that are occuring, so I increased the configured rates to 12/10 and 10/10 but still getting the above messages. Should I adjust the rate-interval as well? And how?
