Hi all,
Our ACS 5.3.0.40.9 pop critical error System Alarm [Database Purging] Who can tell me how to trouble ?
Like the snapshots. THX!

Hi 360Rundll,
We will get that alarm ,when there is no DBPurge job run on past two todays.
Please check DataPurge Job status in the scheduler page (Monitoring Configuration > System Operations >Scheduler Status) ,whether it is running or not ?
If it is not running ,then restart the view-jobmanager alone (acs stop view-jobmanager,acs start view-jobmanager).
Thanks

Should I have a try (acs stop view-jobmanager,acs start view-jobmanager)?
Is it bug or not? I can found

Dear vthaluru,
After restarting services(application stop acs ,application start acs) tonight, I can go into cisco secure acs view(Monitering and Reports -> Lauch Monitoring & Report Viewer). Meanwhile, I can see some status like snapshots. What can I do next? Is it really ACS's bug?
07-22-2016 06:07 PM
Dear vthaluru,
Today, I can see that DBPurge error already exits.I feel it is bug cause it still report " DBPurge is not running for the past two days."
If it isn't a bug , I feel it will report"for past three days/ four days....." and it may report "one day" after I restart service. It may a bug that cisco hasn't fixed completely yet. And after restart service, "Scheduler Status" still like the snapshot.
DatabasePurge-Job Database Purge Utility System Mon Sep 08 04:00:00 HKT 2014 DB Purge Skipped Completed
I can see that error appear at Mar 24,2016 when I found the log. What can I do next? THX!

Dear vthaluru,
I can see the data on reports. Before I click on "Purge Now", I want to know wether it's a way to check database sizes?
admin# show disks
disk: 5% used (2795992 of 65539868)
temp. space 15% used (1098220 of 8063408)
Internal filesystems:
all internal filesystems have sufficient free space
Is it a way take full backup under "Purge Now"'s sentence mean like this:
1.Choose System Administration > Operations > Distributed System Management.
2.From the Primary Instance table or the Secondary Instances table, select the instance that you want to back up.
Backup Options select ADE-OS and ACS Configuration Backup.
3.Click Backup.
THX!

Hi 360rundll,
We have command from CLI ,it will full backup (acs+ade os +view).
backup <filename> repository <repository name>.
if you have want to take acs backup or ade os backup or view backup ,then click on Distributed Management page .
we have scheduled backup for config backup.
We have full backup for reports data from removal backup page ,click on backup now .
To check the acsview dbsize ,go to the acs-config mode ,then enter gui credentials and run the acsview show-dbsize command ,it will show you DB size.
Thanks

Is it harddisk insufficient space?
07-30-2016 09:31 AM
Hi 360rundll,
It requires around 380 GB free space in the opt directory to backup success. or configure the NFS server having more than 500 GB to backups success.
Thanks
