Hello,

My issue is as follows:

Environment: Cisco VPN Client Rel 4.0 on my Windows 2000 OS(Using Dell Inspiron 2650). Transport tunneling is enabled and using IPSec over UDP. WINS tab is updated with some IPs to connect to our mail servers. Group VPN authentication is used as instructed by my network admin.

Problem Description: I can succesfully authenticate with my user name and password but the client just hangs after that with the status "Securing communications channel ...."

Additional steps taken to correct the issue: I tried uninstalling and reinstalled the client software but that dint help.

Can someone please advice?? My network admin assures me that my account and other settings are accurate and that no one else from my work place is having

this issue.

thanks a lot!!

If you install a new Network Interface Card (NIC) on Windows 2000 or XP after the VPN Client is installed, the VPN Client starts to connect and complete user authentication, but it then appears stuck at "Securing Communications Channel...".
