Hi to all,

I'm having an issue registering some ws-ce520-24pc-k9 in my NAC server v4.9(1), I've completed all the snmp configuration and when i register the switch in the nac it is added ok but when i try to manage the ports in order to add them to a port profile nothing is show in the NAC i mean there are no ports in that device.

Has anyone registered a catalyst express with a NAC solution??

Thanks in advance for your help.

Alfonso,

Please check this guide to make sure you are running the supported software versions:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/nac/appliance/support_guide/switch_spt.html#wp117826

You can try to run debugging on the manager and check the nacmanager.log file to see why the switch is not sending back the ports.

Hi Tarik,

My switches are WS-CE520-24PC-K9 with version 12.2(37)  and there are no entries in the log file regarding this, were you able  to manage this kind of switches with a nac server???

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have not managed these switches but have spent time troubleshooting many customer's scenarios. Please share your troubleshooting steps. Were you able to set the manager logs for oob switch communication to TRACE?

Thanks,

Hi to all,

The issue was that the switch that we were trying to register in the nac was an ESW-520-24P and it is not supported:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/nac/appliance/support_guide/switch_spt.html#wp117826

All the other switches are WS-CE520-24PC-K9 wich are supported and are working ok.

Thanks to all for your comments!!!
