I have an NFR version of ISE with a permanent license (base & advanced). I've done a lot of work on my lab which I don't want to lose, but have noticed the backups have stopped working.
This is the error:
ise1/admin# backup ISE1-Backup-On-Demand repository backup-14 application ise encryption-key plain ***
% Creating backup with timestamped filename: ISE1-Backup-On-Demand-130804-1358.tar.gpg
% Error: Insufficient disk space to perform ISE backup
% Application backup error
This is the disk info:
ise1/admin# sh disks
disk repository: 6% used (307004 of 5944440)
Internal filesystems:
/ : 81% used ( 37881100 of 49517032)
/tmp : 2% used ( 17828 of 988116)
/storedconfig : 7% used ( 5690 of 93327)
/boot : 9% used ( 40449 of 489956)
/dev/shm : 0% used ( 0 of 2008272)
all internal filesystems have sufficient free space
I've seen where this can be fixed by applying a "root patch" to clear some space.
Is this "root patch" available anywhere because I can't find it on cisco.com.
Thanks,
Chris

You will have to get the patch from TAC.

I'm assuming I'd need a service contract to do this, which I don't believe is possible with an NFR product??

Typically your Cisco SE, HTOM or AM can ask to bypass entitlement, but you'd need to sync with any of them.

Thanks - will give that a try and report back.
