Convert (not migrate) ACS 5.8 to ISE ?

Hi !

hope you´re doing well, this time I have the need to know if there's any possible way to convert an ACS 5.8 to ISE (which stable version do you suggest?)

or should you recommend to install ISE directly to the appliance SNS-3415-K9?

it is still active on Cisco Support but is good to read your best practices,

Thank you,

The 3415 is not a supported platform for ISE v2.4.

I haven't tested 2.4 on a 3415, it would probably install, but it's not tested, TAC supported or recommended.

3500 vm templates and appliances are the only official 2.4 platform.

The way to convert acs to ise is by way of migration. Cisco has built a migration tool that can be utilized to ease this transition but it still requires some post work.

SNS 3400 series appliances already have an end of life/end of support date published. I would recommend ise Vm's first, then SNS 3500 appliances if vm's are not an option.

As for the version, ISE 2.4 with patch 5 is the current recommendation. It is a stable release and also considered a long term support release.

Yes, as you suggest, there is a ISE 2.4 SNS-3515 appliance up and running, I
used the Migration tool and it is working just fine,

But , I want to use as a backup the SNS-3415 as a secondary node, but it is
an ACS 5.8 and I want to use it as an secondary ISE node,

Is it possible? Thank you,
