Guest Portal Password Generation

During a PoC with a HE customer.  To make password generation easier for guest self-registration.  They selected upper and lower case letters and numbers for the password policy.  But they want if the guest wants to use a special character to allow for special characters.  But they don't for it be a requirement.

So, is there a method to allow for special characters without it being a requirement.  OR is it an either or you can't have it both ways.

Thank you kindly for your response.

Regards,

Blanca Wong

You can set the guest password policy to include special characters.

You can allow different character sets without making them required.  Navigate to Work Centers > Guest Access > Settings > Guest Password Policy

You can choose the special characters that are allowed by typing them in or use the default which is all.

If you leave the Minimum special: setting at 0, then special characters will be allowed, but not required. When this number is 1 or greater, then they are required.
