ISE and VDI environments

Hi all,

Can we use ISE with VDI? Is it possible to authenticate and authorise the VDI machines? 

A customer is using Citrix VDI on VMware ESXi. VMware doesn't allow us to use the Nexus 1000V anymore and with a regular virtual switch there are a lot of challenges (a regular virtual switch doesn't support RADIUS to authenticate the users and we cannot authorise based on ACLs, VLANs or SGTs).

Is there a way to address VDI environments?

I think the physical switch can do that as long as you configure each
port as authentication host-mode multi-auth
