Is there a guide for how to setup BYOD, where users can register their devices by MAC and each user can be limited only specific number of maximum devices. We want students to register their personal devices such as gaming consoles/IOT devices with a MAC and limit them to only a specific allowed number of devices.
I have seen some examples where users create a login to the portal first and then do the device registration. Is the authentication to this happening via AD or a local database is created on ISE.
And also since any type of device can be registered, certificates are not to be involved.
Also I assume but not sure when devices have been registered, that device can then connect to the SSID via a PSK ?
