Hi

I have tried recovery my ISE console admin password accroding to following page many times, but not working.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/identity-services-engine/200568-ISE-Password-Recovery-Mechanisms.html

I found there is a message pop up everytime when I input new password. (highlighted in following screenshoot)

Is this the reason I cannot recovery the console password?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Issue resovled by contacting TAC.  we have secodary node CLI password,  we changed it to standlone node, and reimage primary node.

As showing in screenshot, that message indicate the recovery failed.

Hello,

so currently you don't have GUI and console access to the ISE Nodes? Is it a virtual machine or hardware appliance?

Regards,

I cannot access GUI and primary node CLI. I can access secondary node, but  GUI password only can be rested on primary node.

the nodes running on vmware esxi.

Looks like the mounting is not working as expected, found a similar issue and was advised to re-image the box.
