ISE External Identity Source AD vs LDAP

Hi,

I'm looking to integrate ISE with Active Directory, but would like to use LDAPS. Could anyone advise if any functionality is lost when using the LDAP identity store rather than AD within ISE? 

I would assume at the very least, we wouldn't be able to use the AD probe anymore.
