Hi Guys, does anyone know if ISE is officially supported on Nutanix Acropolis?

Thanks!

Jacques

The ISE Installation Guides and Compatibility Guides are clear about the supported hypervisors.

Derivatives are not supported.

Nutanix Acropolis hypervisor is not listed in the approved hypervisor:

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/2-3/install_guide/b_ise_InstallationGuide23/b_ise_InstallationGuide23_chapter_01.html#linuxkvmrequirements

However it is based on the Linux KVM hyperivsor and I would venture to guess that it should work.

The answer is it depends.  Acropolis is hyperconverged infrastructure where the hypervisor is an option, AVH (Nutanix), esxi, hyper-v, or xen.  If it has been built out with either VMware esxi or Microsoft Hyper-V then it will work fine.

If using the Nutanix's in house AVH then i'm going to say it hasn't been tested.

Thanks. I am thinking in terms of support. If we do experience issues with ISE, will Cisco say it is running on an unsupported system?
