ISE VM - Increasing VM Hardware

Increasing VM Hardware (within models (3515) and between models (3515 - 3595)

Virtual SNS-3515 OVA - deploy the min resources and need to increase. Can we just add CPU and Memory to the maximum allowed without issue?

Virtual SNS-3515 OVA -  now at maximum and want to increase resources to the 3595. Can we just add resources or do we deploy the SNS-3595 OVA and add it to the ISE solution?

Tried looking for reference in the guide but could not find anything outside of storage.  (may have missed it) https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/2-3/install_guide/b_ise_InstallationGuide23/b_ise_InstallationGuide23_chapter_01.html?bookSearch=true#vmwarevmrequirements

CPU and RAM can be resized to fit you r needs as your deployment grows.  Shut down the VM, add CPU/RAM and start the VM.  You can issue the CLI Command 'show inventory' to verify the changes.

You are correct, the HDD size cannot be modified.  While you can adjust the size in the VM settings, the ISE database never grows and utilizes the new space.  It's easy to picture the cause of this when you resize the HDD of a Windows VM.  Once the change is made in the VM Properties, you then have to boot the VM and go to Disk Management.  Once there, adjustments are made to enable the use of the newly acquired space.  There is no mechanism for this in ISE.

We tried to upgrade the specs of 3415 to 3495 and since then we are facing high disk utilization alarms.
